The Durham-Chapel Hill (Wednesday) dancing is suspended until all relevant government stay-at-home orders are rescinded and our dancing leadership feels it is safe and appropriate to resume dancing.

Welcome! The Durham-Chapel Hill International Folk Dancers has been getting together to learn and enjoy international dancing since 1964. The group started in Chapel Hill; we’ve been dancing in Durham for decades.

We meet most Wednesday nights from 7:00-9:30 p.m. at the Living Arts Collective (LAC), 410 W. Geer St, Durham, NC. 27701 (map). We are open to the public and no partners are necessary. To cover expenses, we ask a donation of $6.00 an evening (or $60.00 per trimester). New visitors are welcome for free.

7:00 PM – Easy dances

8:00 PM – Teaching for half an hour

9:30 PM – Dancing ends

Parking in the area of the LAC is tight. See the LAC’s parking map here. Additionally, you can park in the gravel lot behind the Trosa building at approximately 312 W Geer St. We often put out orange cones to reserve parking spaces in front of or in back of LAC. If you see one, feel free to take the space and bring the cone inside.
